Convention Survival Guide Part 2: Electric Boogaloo

Welcome to part two of my convention Survival Guide, packing list and what to put in your convention bag:

The Obligatory Convention Survival Guide: Part One

Packing List:

1. Clothes for 4 days plus extra (you never know what will happen)

I prefer cargo shorts (because pockets) and nerd tees (because look at me)

2. 5-6 pairs socks (no show, I like the Nike ones)

3. Unmentionables (you know...)

4. Hygiene stuff (cleanliness is next to godliness)

5. Good walking shoes (really important!)

6. Cooler w/bottled water, sodas, or anything you'd want to keep cold (for the drive up and the hotel room)

7. Backpack (see above and below)

8. Water bottle (remember HYDRATE!)

9. Sunglasses (to be a cool nerd?)

10. Swimming stuff (because you never know)

11. Wallet or purse (duh)

12. BADGES (double duh)

13. Phone (triple duh)

14. Lanyards (a must for me at least)

15. Inhaler (asthma sucks)

Back Pack:

1. Water bottle (hydrate!)

2. Small snacks (to keep you going)

3. Pepto (or some other stomach medicine, for changing up your diet for an entire weekend)

4. Aspirin (because headaches will ruin your convention experience)

5. Tums (I'm getting old)

6. Pencils/pens/markers (for autographs, gaming, and they're just handy)

7. Folder (I bring lists with me)

8. Badge receipts (just in case)

9. Card protector box and/or sleeves (mostly for gaming stuff con exclusives, or collectible cards)

10. Fully charged portable phone charger (keep your phones and personal devices going all night long)

11. Kleenex (allergies)

12. Deodorant (because con funk is real)

13. Hand sanitizer (to prevent the plague)

14. Poster tube (to keep those cool autographs and art pristine)

15. Any books or art you want signed (see poster tube)

I tried to make an all encompassing list, there will probably be specific things you'll need depending on what kind of con it is, but this is a very good start.
